Veracruz is the largest port city in Mexico and is known as ‘the gateway to the world’. With a transit time of 18 days, there is no need to look for a better option. Via the port of Veracruz we also serve other ports in Mexico such as Altamira and Manzanillo.

We use CMA CGM as carrier for this service. Our sailings in May are as follows:

Bootnaam ETD ETA TT Closing RTM Closing ANT
CMA CGM White Shark 8-May 26-May 18 30-Apr 29-Apr
APL Holland 14-May 1-Jun 18 7-May 6-May

CMA CGM Chateau d’if 28-May 15-Jun 18 20-May* 19-May*

* pay attention ! Due to Ascension Day, the closing is a day earlier this week!

As for many ports, there are also certain rules for your cargo to Veracruz. We have listed them for you.

  • Combination of DG and harmless or multiple DG-items on 1 loading unit cannot be accepted
  • Cargo must be (loaded and) manifested separately
  • Customs clearance must be effected in Vera Cruz
  • IMO rates for Mexico inland destinations upon request.
  • For Mexico a filing is needed (see seperate tab)

In order to meet the mandatory safety regulations, demanded by the local Customs authorities in Mexico, we need the following information from you to ensure smooth filing:

  • Your full Bill of Lading instructions
  • Full style of the shipper including VAT-number, contact and phone number
  • Full style of the consignee including VAT-number, contact and phone number

  • Bill of Ladings mentioning c/o (y/o – care of) are not allowed.

Non compliance to the above may result in not loading your cargo or Customs fines due to amendments after closing.
